These things we know for certain:

1. James basically has two tumours, an Optic Glioma and a diffuse region of Hamartomous material extending well into the hypothalamus.
2. These tumours are inoperable due to their location and they are also very slow growing.
3. When James was born he could see quite well, today however he is blind in his left eye and has less than 5% vision in his right eye.
